AKI is looking for a Land Patrol Officer & Assistant Land Patrol Officer. This position Closes July 3, 2014.
The Land Patrol Officer and Land Patrol Assistant have similar duties. The LP Officer is the Lead and the LP Assistant assists LPO and reports to the LP Officer. The LP Officer reports to the President/CEO. The positions are Seasonal, 16 hours/week from Sept. 15 to Dec. 15, 2014. Salary is DOE.

SUMMARY: Akhiok-Kaguyak, Inc. (AKI) needs a person to conduct land patrol services for AKI lands and buildings in the Akhiok village region on Kodiak Island. Preference will be for the person to provide own boat, insurance and room and board. Strong familiarity with AKI lands, cabins and other properties is highly desirable. Also, deep experience in safely operating boats in Alaska waterways and especially in the Kodiak Island region is extremely important.
QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires safe operation of boats and other equipment. It requires good judgment and intimate knowledge of Kodiak Island weather and its effect on sea conditions and boating safety. As a result, the chosen candidate may also be required to pass drug test screening prior to final acceptance and a random test during the season.
PREFERRED: Shareholder of Akhiok-Kaguyak, Inc. or Alaska Native preference applies and Knowledge of AKI lands and cabins required.
