Ms. Dawn Monroe is a cutting-edge visionary leader with more than three decades of experience in strategic planning, new technology initiatives, market development, financial analysis, and fiscal management. Ms. Monroe is extremely skilled in developing and implementing the standard practices and procedures required to effect dramatic improvements in efficiency, productivity, and business processes toward successful attainment of organizational goals. She has demonstrated executive leadership experience managing and actively contributing to various organizations’ unprecedented organic and inorganic growth.
As highly effective business leader focused on the delivery of innovative technology solutions, Ms. Monroe integrates the Sugpiat Family of Companies’ capabilities and expertise across our DoD and Federal clients. She is skilled in Technology Delivery, Account Management, Customer Relationships, and Business Execution. Her expertise spans the industry marketplace from information technology, cyber, logistics, training, and weapon systems, to systems engineering. She specializes in successful management and delivery of program and portfolio commitments, people leadership, profitability, strategic growth, and business transformation. Quickly assessing problems and implementing actions to drive top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability.
Ms. Monroe began her career as a High School Math and Psychology Teacher. After three years of teaching, she decided to leave Education for a new challenge as a Mathematician supporting the AEGIS Weapon System where she quickly rose to Principal Engineer where she gainer her engineering insight and expertise.
Ms. Monroe joined the AKI portfolio of companies in 2020, bringing extensive experience in building government contracting networks and implementing complex projects for numerous government agencies. Since 1988, Ms. Monroe has started, nurtured, and managed several successful Government Services Companies through all stages of company growth and maturation. She has been instrumental in providing innovative engineering and technology solutions that address a myriad of complex real-world issues arising from this competitive and challenging market environment.
Ms. Monroe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, Psychology and Education from Mary Baldwin College and attended the University of Virginia for Master of Science studies in Psychology where she co-authored a college level textbook, “Psychological Testing”.
