Ralph Eluska Jr., son of Ralph Eluska Sr. and Sharon Eluska, grew up in Anchorage and spent his summers on Kodiak Island, where he worked as a commercial fisherman and at the Alitak Cannery. Ralph attended the Seattle Art Institute, earning an associate degree in Commercial Art with a focus on typography, airbrush illustration, and corporate logo design. He also studied general courses at Seattle Community College before returning to Alaska, where he earned an associate degree in Food Science and Culinary Arts from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1992. For over 10 years, Ralph worked at Southcentral Foundation’s Pathway Home, a behavioral health inpatient treatment center for youth ages 13 to 18. In that role, he planned and prepared daily meals for residents and staff, managed purchasing, developed menus, and maintained compliance with Alaska’s food service standards. His career also includes experience in many of Anchorage’s well-known kitchens, including The Captain Cook Hotel/Fletcher’s, Humpy’s, Glacier Brewhouse, Lone Star Steakhouse, and Middle Way Café. Inspired by his father’s leadership in helping shape AKI into the corporation it is today, Ralph brings a deep respect for shareholders and the community. With firsthand experience in Kodiak’s fishing industry and decades of professional service, he is committed to representing shareholders’ best interests and contributing to the corporation’s long-term success.
